
WORLD PREMIERE! World AIDS Day Monday, December 1
WHAT: The premiere of the new documentary HIV Positive Voices: An Inside Look at the AIDS Epidemic in Baltimore, Maryland produced by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication Programs and Stuart Productions. The film portrays the impact HIV has had on the lives of four individuals who each represent a different form of HIV transmission.
WHERE: The 28-minute film will premiere simultaneously at the following four sites around the city:
WHO: each of the following invited speakers will appear at one of the four sites:
- Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley
- U.S. Congressman Elijah Cummings
- Baltimore City Council President Sheila Dixon
- A representative from the Maryland AIDS Administration
WHEN: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2003
The film will begin promptly at 8 p.m. at each location to represent the fact that someone in Baltimore becomes HIV Positive every eight hours. Refreshments will be served at 7 pm, followed by opening comments at 7:30 p.m. A brief discussion with one of the film's cast members will follow each screening.
